FIFA World Cup South Africa begins on a high note
Soweto came to a standstill on 10 June, the eve of the greatest sporting event Africa has ever hosted. The 2010 Fifa World Cup Kickoff Concert, held at Soweto's Orlando stadium, showcased not only the talents of African and international musicians, but also the pervading spirit of unity, goodwill and excitement.

British Airways is preparing to take more than 2.5 million customers to South Africa during the forthcoming World Cup 2010. The airline operates seven flights per week to Cape Town and 19 flights to Johannesburg as well as excellent connections to domestic and regional locations provided by its branded franchise carrier, Comair.
