CEIR releases study quantifying the impact of U.S. Visa issues on the U.S. economy
The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released a major study, The Economic Impact of International Non-Participation in the Exhibition Industry Due to US Visa Issues. CEIR commissioned Oxford Economics to conduct the assessment during the summer of 2010 based on a nationwide survey and the CEIR Exhibition Industry Census.

Business travelers are anticipating an increase in corporate travel for 2011 - a welcomed boost in customer demand for the hospitality and travel sectors - according to a new survey from Deloitte.

European online travel market returns to double-digit growth
The European online travel market is expected to grow 10% in 2010, as the overall travel market begins a modest recovery, according to PhoCusWright Inc., in its soon-to-be-released report, PhoCusWright's European Online Travel Overview Sixth Edition. Following an 11% decline in 2009, the total European travel market is projected to grow 2% in 2010.

The European Tour Operators Association (ETOA) ran a snapshot survey of 200 leading tour operator buyers at its annual Global European Marketplace on Friday asking what effect they estimated the Olympics would have on their business in 2012 compared with 2011 in the top European inbound destinations.
