Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton flight cancellation update 17 Apr
Following the latest advice from NATS, all flights to and from all BAA airports are suspended until 07:00 tomorrow at the earliest. Passengers due to fly today should not travel to these airports until further notice, and should remain in touch with their airlines.

SWISS Airspace to be temporarily closed - SWISS flights update
Swiss airspace is to be temporarily closed. There will thus be no further arrivals or departures at Zurich, Basel, Geneva or Lugano airports until further notice. In view of this, we were forced to cancel all SWISS departures from Switzerland for today Saturday 17 April.

Brussels Airlines cancels all its flights until Monday April 19 12AM
Given that the current situation is not improving and in the interest of the customers, Brussels Airlines is forced to cancel all its flights until Monday April 19th 2010 12 noon local time (10 :00 GMT). This decision will allow Brussels Airlines to be better prepared to restart our activities once European airspace reopens.

All flights into and out of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are cancelled on Saturday 17 April. All Intercontinental flights scheduled to arrive into Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on Sunday April 18th, will be decided latest 4 hours before departure time locally.

Finnair flight cancellation 17 and 18 Apr
Dust discharged into the air by the eruption of a volcano in Iceland is disrupting flight traffic in Europe. Helsinki Airport remains closed until Sunday, April 18th, 3 p.m. EET. Finnair has to cancel all of its flights until

Air Berlin flight cancellation 17 Apr
As a result of the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the volcanic ash that this has released into the atmosphere, the civil aviation safety authorities have shut off major sections of European airspace and the airports in Germany.

Lufthansa cancelled flights and German airports closed 17 Apr
In Germany, the airports in Berlin, Bremen, Cologne, Dortmund, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Hof, Leipzig, Munich, Muenster/Osnabrueck, Nuremberg and Stuttgart have shut down. All arrivals at and departures from these airports have been cancelled until further notice.

Danish Airspace is closed until at least Saturday 17 April at 2 p.m. A new prognosis is expected Saturday between 9 and 10 a.m. (updated 16.04.10 at 9:25 p.m.)
