The Launch of WHOLE WORLD Water

Friday 22nd March saw the launch of WHOLE WORLD Water – the global, three-year initiative designed to unite the hospitality and tourism industry to collectively address one of the world’s most pressing issues - access to safe and clean water.
Partnering with Quintessentially Events, the global launch began in Mumbai, travelling to Soneva Fushi in the Maldives, the Ulusaba Game Reserve in South Africa, The Savoy in London, TAO Asian Bistro in New York City and Parallel 37 at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of The Savoy on World Water Day; VIPs, socialites and leaders in business including Kimberly Wyatt, Amber Atherton and Zara Martingathered together to help raise awareness for this notable cause. Guests were treated to Champagne Fleury and canapés whilst learning more about the WHOLE WORLD Water Campaign from Master of Ceremonies Stanley Johnson, Chairman of the London launch event Jonathan Porritt and WHOLE WORLD Water Co-Founder Karena Albers.
Through the campaign, WHOLE WORLD Water seeks to raise $1 billion per year to help eradicate this global issue and raise awareness on the 1 billion people without access to clean water. Karena Albers said: “We are excited to kick-off our global campaign on World Water Day. This is the beginning of an exciting journey on the path to clean and safe water for everyone. We want to ignite the campaign and inspire our members, their employees, and guests to join us and take action.”

WHOLE WORLD Water is a social enterprise that encourages the hospitality and tourism industry to filter, bottle, and sell its own water – contributing 10 percent of all proceeds to the WHOLE WORLD Water fund. The WHOLE WORLD Water fund will benefit clean and safe water programmes around the world.
