Volcanic ash cloud update - Air France - 12 May
Wednesday 12, May 2010
French airspace remains open. Routes of flights going to or coming from North America, Central America and the Caribbean are modified to avoid the volcanic cloud.
This situation induces the lenghtening of the routes as well as air traffic regulations, as the amount of possible routes is restricted.
As a result, our flights to/from these destinations experience delays.
According to the evolution of the cloud, some European airports may close. Air France would then have to cancel a few of its medium-haul flights.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause you.
For updated information on Air France flights, please refer to Flight and destination information.
