Volcanic ash update - Spanish airports - 8 May

19 Aena's airports closed due to the volcanic ash, nineteen airports in northern Spain are closed: Barcelona, Girona, Sabadell, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria, Zaragoza, Huesca, Pamplona, La Rioja, Santiago, A Coruña, Vigo, Asturias, Santander, León, Valladolid, Burgos and Salamanca.
According to the latest information from Eurocontrol, the air traffic restrictions will remain at least until 18.00 hours.
Aena suggests passengers flying in the next hours to contact their airline before going to the airport. to fly in the next few hours, before turning the airport, contact your airline.
